The more we focus on what God's plan for us might be, the less we need to
concern ourselves with other people's reactions. Our self-worth is not
dependent on other people's opinions of us. No one else has the power to make
us better or worse than we are.

Finding JOY in difficult times...
"If you want to be happy, be..."
This and other similar statements, quotes...come from persons who have realized the simplicity of being joy-filled...like a child.
What happens to many as we grow older?
Do we become so caught-up with the more complex way of thinking and processing our experiences that we forget what it feels like to be free? like a child?
How often do we take "time-off" from what is considered more serious matters (ie: work, work, work...study, study, study...) to do joyful things like dancing in the rain, playing with our children or taking our dogs for a walk (and enjoying it?)...visiting friends or talking to perfect strangers as we wait in-line at the store (wishing them a happy day)?
The face of a happy child is inspiring and convincing. When we gaze upon such a joy-filled child, we smile ourselves and may become nostalgic for the days when we, too, were small, innocent and free...
The secret is (no secret, really...) that we can be joy-filled and free - like a child - our entire lives...if only we find joy (the good) in all our experiences.
Don't get me wrong...this is not a negation of the trials and tribulations that are part of our life's journey...this is only a triumphant acceptance of who God created us to be: a free child in His image and likeness! Let us place our complete trust in the hands of God, our Father. He always knows what is best for our formation...He takes good care of us - no matter what we do to ignore His infinite benevolence and mercy...

Week 5 (May 15)
Organ systems are beginning to develop and the baby’s heart starts to beat, just 21 days after fertilization.
Week 4 (May 8)
The baby is the size of a period at the end of a sentence, and cells in the baby have separated off to form the placenta which will nourish the child until birth. The baby has already communicated to her mother’s body with hormones to let her know she is growing in the womb.

Week 3 (May 1):
The baby’s cells are dividing and growing rapidly as she travels down the fallopian tube to implant in the wall of the womb so mother can nourish the developing child.

Sharing the Word...as gift...
There is no doubt at all that God loves you and me:
As a couple "in love"...
we learn to share a deeper and more loving relationship with one another when we also share the loving word of God from Scripture.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Have I told you TODAY...that I LOVE YOU???
Let me count the ways...
